Stan Hale tested his first valve with full diagnostic instrumentation in 1985 at a nuclear power plant in Virginia. Since then, he has provided valve testing, engineering and analysis support for most nuclear power plants in the US and many worldwide. Stan has designed and installed automated, online monitoring systems for safety critical valves used in upstream-offshore and downstream oil and gas facilities and helped end-users solve the most challenging valve performance issues. Stan is a long-term member of the ASME nuclear power O&M code committee on motor-operated valves and is a member of the ISA 96 committee on automated valves. Stan received technical training in the US Marine Corps as a fighter aircraft avionic systems trouble-shooter and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Kennesaw State University. Stan is currently Senior Director – Valve Technologies & Services at MRC Global.
